The daughter of a Social Studies teacher and granddaughter of three educators, I received my BA in American Studies from Yale University, and earned a Masters in Education and Single-Subject Social Studies Credential candidate from UCLA’s Teacher Education Program. I am currently a secondary Social Studies teacher at North Hollywood High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where I teach all levels of eleventh grade US History, including AP US History. I have experience designing and teaching middle and high school Social Studies curriculum, both in the classroom and in museum and media settings. I am dedicated to equipping students with the tools they need to think critically and transform their communities. I center students' voices and lived experiences, helping them to imagine (and create!) a more just and equitable world.
